Agreed. I could do without the whole card battle system. Made me want to run more than fight. Overall this wasn't as good as Paper Mario for Wii.

Not sure why the Paper Mario series has been getting all the hate lately. I'm a big fan of the series but Nintendo seems hell bent on trying to mess with the formula just so they can showcase the gimmicky parts of their system. Who has time for the added crap they've thrown on top? Not me that's for sure. When the story is a rehash with a slight tweak, you have to have an amazing battle system to keep a RPG going.
