Beach Camera through Newegg is selling Omron BP786 10 Series Advanced Accuracy Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor with Cuff that fits Standard and Large Arms & Bluetooth Connectivity for $59.99 with free shipping. $5 more than this front page post from Amazon a few days ago, but no tax here for most so comes out about the same.
  • #1 doctor and pharmacist recommended brand
  • Bluetooth® Smart technology allow you to sync your readings to your smartphone via the Omron Wellness mobile app.
  • TruRead™ takes three consecutive readings and automatically calculates the average for an accurate reading
  • Easy wrap ComFit Cuff inflates around the entire arm to avoid incorrect cuff positioning ensuring a precise reading and expandable cuff fits arms up to 17" in circumference
  • Extra-Large Display has bright, backlit digits and colored indicator lights to show if your reading is normal or needs attention
  • Saves 200 readings so that two users can store 100 readings each of blood pressure measurements on one device
I highly endorse this product. It's a phenomenal little unit. I got one for my parents and they usually hate getting new technology, but they loved this one. The screen is large and very easy to read. Keeps 100 readings per person for two users. Extremely accurate. It will even sense an irregular heartbeat and alert you which is an added bonus for us as there's history of such in the family. Very easy to transfer readings to HealthKit on iOS side. Just a few taps to allow permissions and you're good to go. There was mention of issues on the Android side in the previous thread. I have nothing Android in my household so I have no experience on that side.

Differences among BP786N, BP786, BP785N, BP785 and BP791IT

BP786N vs BP786
The features and quality of both the product are same. Manufacturer updated few technical components and thus introduced BP786 with a new name: BP786N.

BP785N vs BP786N
BP786N supports Bluetooth for data transfer, and BP785N does not, all other features are same.

BP785N vs BP785
BP785N is the newer model of BP785.

BP785 vs BP791IT
Both are the old discontinued models.
BP791IT supports data transfer using Microsoft Vault, and BP785 does not allow transfer other than that all other features are same.

After looking again, this does not seem to be the model with the 'N', wonder if that makes a big difference?

No. They have the same features and same outward facing hardware. Omron supposedly made some technical changes so they made a new model number to differentiate. The pictures for the 786N version on Amazon are actually pictures of the 786 version packaging. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference looking at or using them.

No. My OP links to and discusses the front page you're referring to in the second sentence. It was $55 but also through Amazon so adds tax for a good number of people. I actually grabbed one then and the difference in price then and now was 46 cents. Those with higher tax rates would actually find a better deal here.

Great quality product.

HOWEVER, the OMRON Android APP for it is absolutely terrible. The ratings for the APP confirm that too.

It was developed by a really bad 3rd party developer and there is no plan to improve it. It's a bit misleading to talk about Bluetooth connectivity for this device, if that's something you really want, and then discover the absolutely disgusting APP for it. Yes, OK, there are probably 7 people out there that are happy with it along with thousands who have torn their hair out trying to get it to work in the beginning, or work again later once an Android update occurred.

They don't. They don't even price match their own prices! _

i just bought a wrist blood pressure monitor with pulse oximator on ebay for $4 on a slow boat from China.

Assuming it actually works is there a reason in the huge price discrepancies? I don't actually need it but want it for very occasional use to tell if my migraines are due to high blood pressure.
