I have a 3hp one with the 1.5" hose and it does ok for light job and I also have a 4.5hp rigid with 2" hose and it's quite a big difference. If you want better suction go with 4hp or higher and you will be good for almost any project.

I grabbed one of these guys a few weeks ago at this price and gotta say I am happy with the little guy. Nice to not have to tout around my larger one now in the garage and having the blower option is nice on this smaller unit.

I got a similar Stanley one like this at Costco a few years ago and have never been happy with it. It is very, very underpowered and can barely pick anything up (even after cleaning out all the filters, etc.). I had a washing maching leak a bunch of water and this thing couldn't even suck the water up, the wand was just pushing it around. I would get a real Shopvac or more powerful one IMHO.

I have it and have been doing a whole house reno. The blue filter clogs really easily with dusty clean ups. Think spackle sanding . That being said, I had a bigger shop vacuum with a pleated filter and dust clogged that up just as fast.

For large debris is is very powerful. I used both suck and blow (haha) for a wet cleanup and I was surprised at how much power it had with a crevasse attachment.

Cons: comes with barely any accessories, hose is too short so it's tipped over before, and power cord is too short.

Tips: if you find a Walmart with it for $10, ship to store then price match it once you're there. I got it for $10
