Looks like Milwaukee just released new models of the tools so these models are being sold at a discounted price.

Do you think this is a good deal? I was contemplating upgrading to Fuel from my non Fuel tools.

The battery alone sells for $169

This is a good deal, that circular saw alone is going for 230 for just the tool alone and no battery let alone this.

awesome circular saw, but this has been the price at HD since black Friday. easily as much power as a corded saw. sawzall is quite heavy with the 9.0 battery.

It seems like a lot of stores have this on sale for 249 which is cheaper than eBay. I see it's this price at Home Depot but stores around me are out of stock and not being restocked with this kit. Also tax is almost 10% at my local Home Depot so ordering online saves me $25 in tax for each kit.

Was a better deal when you combine the smart key kit and got $200 off promo during the holidays at home Depot. You ended up paying around $185 for this kits.

But this is still a good price considering the price of the 9.0 battery.

This circular saw is the one with the crappy left hand design, the only configuration for the FUEL version.

It's the only reason I haven't bought one and will continue to wait.

No idea why Milwaukee did this. Hopefully their new version is for righty's.

Home Depot has had these bundles since around Black Friday around here, really good deal. I bought the Circular saw and works great. Use it almost everyday cutting 2x4's and ripping short things.

A left side blade on a circular saw is not "crappy" and is not made for lefties, it is done for a better line of sight and allows for a carpenter to hold the piece with his left hand and make the cut with his right. Most higher end saws are blade left, or at least they were.

If you have only used blade right saws, blade left can take a little bit of getting used to, but it essentially comes down to user preference irregardless of whether you are right or left handed.

Looks like a standard version with the blade on the right side. Am I missing something?

I think you have it backwards. Good saws (except worm drive and some odd models for people that hold the saw with their left hand) have the blade on the right.

You are not.

The 7.25" M18 Fuel circ saw is right bladed

The 6.5" M18 Fuel circ saw and 5.something" M12 Fuel circ saw are left bladed

I have both M18 saws now (courtesy of this promo pack + the OneKey combo discount). I like left-blade better but wanted to make sure I was never left short with the shorter depth of cut on the 6.5" model.

Considered the miter during the OneKey combo discount but didnt bite because of the fact they dont have an AC adapter (like DeWalt). I currently have a 12" Bosch slider thats big and heavy but works great....would have been nice to have the smaller, lighter Milwaukee but I only need the portability (cordless) aspect about 20% of the time.

This saw has a blade on the right side. Saws are not made to be "right or left HANDED". Right-bladed saws are extremely common among professional corded saws, with worm drives being the exception.

You may prefer a left side bladed saw, but that doesn't mean this one is "crappy" at all. Aside from the Makita dual-battery and Hilti saws, the Milwaukee is pretty much ahead of everyone else.

To the OP: these sets have been on sale in this configuration since late fall last year. It is a promo for the 9ah battery. Regardless, it is a really good deal, but not particularly special, though I am sure once they deplete stock on these packages they will cease to be sold this way.
