Who wants to purchase a restricted 2.0 Keurig that can't use the original k cups anyhow. They sure blew it on bringing out this model. No wonder it's so cheap, no one is buying them

Costco has the K525C with some accessories and pods (not as many pods as this one) for $125, any opinions on the Costco maker vs the K475?

I have a 2.0 DRM breaker from San Francisco Coffee I got a while back, so I'm not personally concerned about 2.0 restrictions.

My current maker, while reliable for 3-4 years now, is getting loud.

I'd suggest people look at the Amazon reviews.

Both the K475 and the K575 were released in December 2015, for whatever reason both models have issues with making K-Cups explode (not dangerous, you just wind up with coffee grounds in your cup) and the needle getting clogged often.

While these machines both contain "fun" digital features like customizable wallpaper and a full color screen, Keurig not only didn't make the core functionality more reliable (a longstanding issue with Keurig machines) but has seemingly managed to make it worse than the previous models.

I think the K-Cup concept is neat and K-Cups certainly have a stranglehold on the market. But Keurig are flaunting their market dominant position by making the crappiest machines possible that seemingly get crappier year upon year somehow.

Unfortunately I am forced to recommend, if you can find one, a K45 or K55. It isn't the DRM thing, it is the fact that they were at least basically reliable for about two-three years if you ran some white vinegar through them every so often. The same cannot be said for this latest generation of tat.

You don't even need that anymore. Every k-cup I've bought in the last year or two has been 2.0 compatible (Starbucks, San Francisco, Tully's, Green Mountain, etc.), and there's refillable K-cups that are 2.0 compatible now.

The whole compatibility thing isn't an issue anymore unless you have 5 year-old K-cups still in your pantry.

I still have mine sitting in the dust. Used 5xs. Doesn't get hot enough for me. Stopped drinking coffee altogether.

I think the deal is still valid, also, it seems to be not a bad deal...K475+98 ct., count 0.3 per cup, the K475 likes $70... as low as deals for K55
