Amazon has 12" Zinus Memory Foam Mattress (Green Tea) on sale.

12 inch King: $279 [amazon.com]
12 inch Queen: $229 [amazon.com]
12 inch Full: $199 [amazon.com]

Other sizes available as well.

Priced a bit higher than previous FP but still a good deal if you are in market for a cheap mattress.

I got the 10 inch king almost 4 years ago and LOVE it!! I got a 2 inch down topper for it and is like a cloud! The mattress itself is firm but not hard.. it does get firmer when its cold, so the topper helps. But its a great mattress and super comfy.. Not hard firm but not sink soft. I was very hesitant at first and read reviews for months. My back was hurting constantly on my old 8 year old regular spring mattress with built in topper... So I figured $400, worth a shot! I put it directly on top of my old king box springs. Love it so much I got my kids full size 8 inch ones, with the additional topper, they love them too. One is on a recommended metal support frame, one is on a wood bed base. And i got a 6 inch for the sleeper sofa. So yeah, i suggest it! My king is sleep innovations from Amazon, and i got the kids ones from Wal-Mart, spa sensations. I have no experience with the 12inch one tho.

so your whole review was on different matresses than the Zinus?

Anyone have any experience with these? Seems like an amazing deal for upgrading my queen size that I got from Walmart a few years back. I was thinking I'd spend a little more for the memory foam with gel. Thoughts?

Also, I'm thinking about getting an adjustable base. Would this work with it?

Walmart brand Spa Sensations is just another name for Zinus mattresses & reviews are all over the place, some love it others have issues with decompression. Do your research first.

Picked up two of these just before the holidays and couldn't be happier. No issues with the decompression, and they both still look and feel just as good as day one.

On my traditional mattress, I'd occasionally wake up to lower back pain and sore muscles after workouts (combo of mostly-healed herniated disc and regular exercise). Definitely seen marked improvements in that since switching to the memory foam.

Was a bit hesitant at first, but at the price it was worth the chance. Glad I took it!

I bought a 12 inch full sized Zinus, had to return it, it was deformed along its edges, expanded only to around 8 inches or so at the corners, 11 inches at its thickest, and the material was coming apart between the layers making up the matresss. The replacement didn't have the corner or coming apart issues, but at its thickest it only expanded to 11 inches, I'm assuming this is some sort of systematic flaw.

I'm happy I purchased it though, its firm and comfortable to me, in the process of returning the deformed mattress through Amazon.

Also on Groupon they have a gel infused memory foam topper for around 50 dollars.

Got the queen 12" back in December for a guest room. Liked it so much for the price that I just bought the king 12" for the master bedroom. The $279 for King is less than I originally paid for the queen! Much more comfortable than the $800 coil spring mattress from Costco it's replacing.

Comfortable at first, but we've been sleeping on this for less than a month and already have developed indentations where we sleep that don't return back to normal. I don't see this being a bed we can sleep on for very long.

These are significantly firmer than a fluffy innerspring. It took me a good week to get used to the difference.

That said, unlike a stiff innerspring, these are quite comfortable and I know I'm getting a better night's sleep than my (admittedly old-ish) $1500 S&F. If you're a back/stomach sleeper, it's a no-brainer. Side sleepers (like me) may have the adjustment period.

Plus, the extra firmness helps quite a bit with more active use of the bed.

What was the process for returning through amazon? A lot of times you need to repack and pay for shipping which will cut into the cost of the return.

Bought the queen in December for $199, great mattress. Good for activities other than sleeping also. It firmer than the other memory foam I had. But it is comfortable as it molds around you. I did the no rush shipping and got a $10 credit from Amazon and it still arrived before the regular shipping estimate. Comes in a box like all Memory Foam now. Once you open it, it can't be returned. But if you have a problem with it Amazon is good about refunding you.

We had issues with the mattress not fully inflating but overall it is comfortable for side sleepers. If i sleep on my back, i wake up with pain however.

I also tried getting a replacement from Amazon but they gave me a full refund and allowed me to keep the mattress.

How is the edge support? I bought both my kids memory foam mattresses (not this brand). One is great on the edge and the other is too soft. I'm an edge sleeper.
