Yeah, I was surprised how much better the Hisense picture looked over the Samsung 6290. Even without the HDR on the Hisense the Hisense looked much better.

Yep but not anymore - plus there is tax which made it closer to $900 for me. But it was the H8 which is the newer model than my (and this) H7.

I wish I needed another 50" 4k TV. I use the KU6290 40" as a monitor, and I really don't understand the fuss behind 4:4:4. The picture looks a little different between HDR on and off, but one doesn't necessarily look any better than the other.
