I doubt Dell still offers 3yr warranty on a 3yrs old product.

I bought a different configuration of this laptop on a similar deal several months ago. It's essentially a brand new laptop from an old stock. The warranty checked out as valid on Dell's website. It wasn't a full 3 years, but it was 2+ years for sure.

Technically, you should be able to submit your receipt to a responsible department at Dell to get the warranty expiration date adjusted. Practically, I think it would be a lost cause. Still, 2+ years is nothing to sneeze at.

Good price, just the 4GB memory is not enough.

That's helpful info. Thanks. Were you able to upgrade for free from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10?

Can it handle unreal engine 4 and moderate gaming such as playing guild wars 2?

I've been looking for a slimmer/daily driver laptop replacement for my Lenovo Y510P as student since carry my Y510P is like carrying a textbook. This seems really nice and hits the check marks I want. Its fast and portable. I don't mind the weight. At the sub $500, is there any other recommendations like this?

I have had this laptop for 3+ years now. It's been reliable and definitey a powerful for what it is, light, and upgradeable. It looks to be able to handle guild wars 2. The most I've ever run on mine is Civ V. Honestly though, if all you want to do is play games on a laptop, look elsewhere as this laptop is not designed for intensive graphics usage and it can get hot (my number one complaint).

I'm thinking with the right coupon from the Dell Outlet Twitter account you can get the newer E7270, which will have a three year warranty.

Apparently, I was. Big Grin According to the original specs, it came with Windows 8.1 Pro, but I am running Windows 10 Pro on it now.

EDIT: I just found the old thread for the config I got in September. There is some info there about Windows 10 and memory upgrades. Keep in mind that that was a lower-spec'ed laptop, so some info won't apply here. Read the last 4 pages or so.
