Life on current OLED panels is 100,000 hours.

That's a little over 11.4 years of 24/7/365 use.

Or over 34 years of 8 hours a day every day use.

Only reason OLED is still so expensive is because there's no competition for LG. They're the only one selling OLED tv.

I was hoping ielectrica would bring this back to pick up where Echo & Optics left off today after their listing ended at the same price.

ielectrica is very responsive - I emailed them once the listing went live earlier and asked them to remove the bundle from the listing title for credit card price matching purposes. They responded quickly and were happy to do it, plus they are willing to send a separate invoice whereas E&O refuses to do that.

If you are successful in price protecting this back $500 with your credit card and get it for a net price of around $2,300 it's a steal on this set.

I called and asked them if they would issue an invoice. Person on the phone said they would. Call back tomorrow ext 101 and ask for Sam and he will provide one.

This is the one in my watch list:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-Electr...SwcUBYUsjI

The cable is still listed below in the detail but not in the item description up top so it now appears as just the TV.

I finally pulled the trigger on this. Hoping Discover PP will go through just fine after I get the invoice from ielectrica.

yeah, nobody selling for that price actually sells it for that price.

They're great to use for credit card price protection claims, but otherwise worthless
