Hello, I hope you are doing well.

BestBuy.com [bestbuy.com], Amazon.com [amazon.com], and Newegg.com [newegg.com] each has the Kingston HyperX Cloud Revolver Gaming Headset for PC & PS4 on sale for $89.99. Shipping is free.

As a side note, BestBuy.com currently has a $25 off $100 Visa Checkout promotion, which may lower the price if you have a $10.99 filler. Visa checkout discount expired

Product Features
  • Studio-grade sound stage
  • Signature HyperX memory foam with premium leatherette
  • Durable steel frame
  • Detachable noise-cancellation microphone
  • Next-generation directional 50mm drivers
  • Compatible with PC/PS4/MAC/Xbox One (Xbox One Stereo Adapter may be required, not included)
Product Ratings and ReviewsPrice Research
  • This is the lowest price ever for this gaming headset. (Once in the past, in December 2016, it was also at this exact price for less than two hours at Amazon.com.)
  • This product was released in May 2016, and it has generally been $119.99 at most major retailers.
  • BestBuy.com likely dropped the price because the successor - the HyperX Cloud Revolver S - will soon be released in March 2017 for $149.99. It looks like Amazon.com matched BestBuy.com's price.
I personally own this headset, so if anyone has questions about it, I can try to answer them.

Enjoy!

There are 5 different Cloud headsets available, with this being the most premium.

As far as I know, $89.99 is the lowest price ever at a major retailer.

Don't have this headset, but I do have the hyper x cloud 2 headset, and that is easy a 5 star product. So if this is the next in line it is probably amazing too.

As a user of the Cloud 2 tho, would it be even worth it upgrading? What main differences are there? Thanks in advance

I have tried 4 out of the 5 Cloud headsets and like them all, although the $50 Stinger [amazon.com] could be better and has a lot of strong similarly-priced contenders by other brands. The Revolver is my favorite, followed by the Cloud II [amazon.com], which is currently the exact same price as the Revolver because the Revolver is on sale. I have not tried the entry-level $40 Drone, which has favorable reviews in general.

HyperX seems to have found the sweet spot when it comes to gaming headsets. Of note, they are the most comfortable and best sounding gaming headsets I have tried that do not cost more than $200.

Oh, hey. I just saw that you edited to add this after I had already responded.

If I were happy with my Cloud II headset and they were working perfectly fine, I personally would not spend the money to get the Revolver. enloft has a decent article [enlofting.com] comparing the two headsets. If you're just itching to get a new headset sometime in the future, keep an eye on the Revolver S that was announced at CES 2017 and will be released in March 2017. I have read some brief reviews [chipchick.com] and it sounds even better than the Revolver, and it actually seems like a big upgrade from the Cloud II. The initial price will be $149.99, but I am assuming the price will drop to $129.99 or $119.99 in the next half a year.

I gave my Revolver to my significant other because I prefer wireless gaming headsets. I am using the Corsair VOID Wireless Gaming Headset [amazon.com] and am happy with it. The VOID's sound quality is nowhere even vaguely close to the Revolver, but it is very comfortable, its battery life is outstanding, and the wireless hasn't had any issues whatsoever. I am hoping that there will be a wireless Revolver announced at CES 2018... haha.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic

I have the Revolver and the Cloud I. I love the Revolver. My only complaint is there are no velour ear cups unlike the Clouds. If the Revolver had velour cups, they would literally be perfect.

Yeah I love my Cloud IIs, so I will probably ride them until they break or if I have the money snag the new Revolver that you are talking about because it sounds like they are going to be great. Thanks for the very good and informative response. Repped

I tried Cloud 2 and Revolver and kept the Revolver. It's more comfortable and adjustable, less direct pressure from the earcups. And sounds much better. I don't regret using it over my more expensive open headphones when listening to music because the sound quality is that good. Still, if you already have and are happy with the Cloud 2 then just save the money until it breaks.

Thanks for the response, and yeah I will most likely just use my Cloud II till they break, would have jumped on this or the new Revolver otherwise.
