Hue is too dark for me. I got 800 Lumens G2 bulbs. I wish they can have brighter ones.

Note that it's the hub that does not support Siri/HomeKit. The bulbs do; you just need the new hub, if you don't already have it.

Title should also be updated to say Hue Lux, since these are the white-only single color temperature bulbs. Only thing that can be controlled is dimming and on/off.

These are the white-only bulbs, but still a pretty damn good deal considering you can flip the 1gen hub for a few bucks on eBay. My wife wants Hue lights in the hallway, and they don't need to be the colored ones we have elsewhere so this fits the bill.

Amazon has this (new) for $98. I have the 2nd gen and pay $15 for the bulbs at BB or OD. I bought this and will give the hub to family that has Alexa.

The bulbs have to have some sort of wireless receiver to accept the commands from the hub, this part could have gone bad and needed repairing, or the hub may have been bad, so yea its totally viable for this item to be refurbished.

I saw this deal earlier this morning and was surprised no one had posted it. I unfortunately couldn't justify getting it. I would need more than two bulbs for any fixture and I don't want to hassle with selling a hue hub from multiple kit purchases. The single bulbs are rather expensive as well.

I'm holding out for the strips to go on sale so I can use them for under cabinet lighting in my kitchen and behind wall mount tv lighting.

All in all I think hue is extremely expensive (probably because most of my switches have multiple bulbs). I have leaned more towards the lutron caseta switches for smart lighting.

These are older Lux bulbs, not the same as current white bulbs:

How long do the bulbs last?

It seems silly to me to buy wireless bulbs.

I wish Hue had a wireless wall switch line. I'd be all over it.
Anyone know if 3rd-party manufacturers have this?
