Here's a how to video i just made for anyone looking to open the case and take out the wd blue inside and reuse the firmware locked enclosure for another drive.. looks like this also stops excessive load cycles.

Great price. Just went ahead and ordered from Best Buy with $25 off Visa Checkout and will try to price match in the morning. If they don't I'll cancel and order this probably.

You can, but it will void your warranty. There's very sensitive clips that seals the enclosure. Once you break those off automatically voids warranty. Alot of people were doing this back when the WD had the 5TB Elements for $90 and they had WD Red's inside. I have one myself.

Red? Reds run all the time which not make much sense for an external.

You will still have to pay tax.

Unfortunately true, but 6.00% for me on $185 after the coupon is ~$11. So ~$14 cheaper in the end. Obviously higher tax reduces the savings and it also depends how much you value your time as you have to call in to price match which I don't mind too much. I've spent enough time on the phone with Comcast where talking with BB doesn't seem so bad to me
