Ryobi One+ 18V Airstrike Brad Nailer kit w/ battery & charger - $149 and free shipping @ Home Depot

Posted 02-19-2017 by danjayh at 11:33 PM
Have this tool, it works great. There is a slight delay between pulling the trigger and firing a nail, but not enough that it's bothersome. I think it actually works better than the more expensive Milwaukee - while the Milwaukee doesn't have the delay, it has overheating and kickback issues.

This includes the higher-end Ryobi fast charger & the lower-end Ryobi Lithium-Ion battery (no fuel gauge, slightly lower capacity, but fine for this application).

I've had this for about a year and it is fantastic. Far more powerful than I would have anticipated. I highly recommend.

In regard to the delay, as the OP said it is a non-factor once you realize it is there. To be honest with you, I actually feel like it enables me to be more precise in that I'm not anticipating a quick "wham!" upon hitting the wood. This lets me get it in place exactly how I want with no mistakes.

This is a great nailer. Well balanced, and easy to use. I got mine on BF for $99 as a bare tool. I don't need any more batteries or chargers, as I have 3 individual chargers, the 6 bay charger, 8 of the 4aH batteries, and 4 of the compact batteries. I also have a bunch of One+ tools. I'm very pleased with Ryobi tools, and have none have let me down since I started using them in 2007.

Wish they had more deals on the tools only. I've got enough batteries at this point.

Good to know that if I'm patient, that they will eventually have a deal for the bare tools.

Will they honor this price in store?

I have been using a refurb for 2 years without issue... Works great, nice power, adjustable power and depth of counter-sink... Only uses batteries (instead of the Paslode tools that use gas and batteries)

It comes in handy for putting in a few pieces of trim like shoe mould or something that is wood-to-wood... I use longer nails than this thing can handle for casing or baseboard because of the drywall, but this can do the jamb-edge of the casing...

Would be great for small woodworking projects like birdhouses...

Man ... that didn't take long. Was in stock when I posted. Often stores will honor these prices, so if you can find it B&M you might still be able to get this ... but YMMV. Your best bet for a deal is to get the bare tool with the combo offer currently going on in the other thread. Doing it that way you get 3 batteries, a charger, and the nailer for $178, which is also very slick since you get more batteries.

In stock for me. Picked one up. I already have the compressed air version of this but I find that hauling and filling the tank is just too inconvenient for small jobs. This will get used more often. Wish the stapler gun would go on sale too.

Edit: I just canceled my order after I realized that there is a free battery charger and battery offer when you buy 2 airstrike guns. So I got the stapler and the brad nailer together for about $130 each (before taxes), plus the same charger and batter pack that was in this deal. Maybe not a super hot deal but this was better for my needs.
