Is this one new or a refurb like the earlier BenQ deal?

I missed Benq w1070 refurbished deal from Benq.com... I want to buy W1070 but this one is tempting. Other than size, vertical lens shift , what other advantage W1070 has? Looks like MH350 has MHL HDMI,, does that mean MHL adapter is needed to connect HDMI devices?

do not buy this. There's something wrong with this model. I bought one back in November and had to return it to Newegg 3 times. 2 of the units had posterization problems, 1 wouldn't start up properly. what are the odds that I just happened to receive 3 lemons in a row? think I'm staying away from BenQ entirely - Epson has better warranty and cheaper lamps

torn between the benq 1070, 1075, and 2050. Now this! if I understand the ratings correctly, it goes ht2050 > w1075 >w1070 > mh530.
Of course this all depends on your desires in a projector. 530 offers 3200 lumens, so a very bright image.

I put together a home theater system last year, I highly recommend a projector with horizontal keystone as you never know if you can exactly make the projects centered with the screen and what happens in the future if you change your screen. Mine is slightly offset because of where the beams were in the ceiling, about 5 inches off the center on a 120" screen, and the image is distorted and bugs me ALL THE freakin time while I watch a movie, the right side is smaller than the left side by about 1.5" and it shows well in laptop mode or wherever there are menus or scrolling text like CNN news, etc. Watching regular movies 21:9 doesnt show at all and 16:9 TV shows are tolerable as long as I dont get distracted and CC is not needed.

Every single projector (except the $50 LED pocket junks from eBay), have vertical keystone, its a standard feature on any cheap very old projector. So vertical keystone is not considered a feature whatsoever, its like the lamp in the projector, cant use one without it. Vertical keystone is what allows the projector to be on the table or mounted to the ceiling and still show a square image.

Horizontal Keystone (or lens shift FWIW) is a great feature that most projectors below $700 seem to not come with as standard option, it allows you to have the projector moved to the left and right and still produce a square image.

Almost all projectors these days have HDMI port in. (Some even have HDMI out so you can continue the image to another device like a TV in another room to show the same image, great feature to have IMO. )

MHL is an internal CHIP, so the MHL port looks and works just like regular HDMI but if you get a cheap MHL cable, and your device/tablet/phone is MHL compatible (most phones are not) then you can somehow mirror your screen to the projector using a simple cheapo cable, no other hardware or power needed just like the good old days connecting a windows laptop to your TV. But again this kind of mirroring is like Chromecast, MIDI and similar systems which are somewhat active unlike Windows and HDMI, so it means your phone may not show the video you are mirroring to the screen, the phone could show something different, or in case of say a cable company app, the app could limit you from mirroring your screen. For some dumb reason, Android is not HDMI compatible by nature, different from device to device.

Anyone have a snip of it on the website for that price. I bought it back when it was $469 and would like to do a price match.

Thanks in advance!
