You will get unlimited data for the first month free! Within this trial of our unlimited data plan you will be reduced to 2G speeds after the 2GB of usage for each month.

I think of truly unlimited as being continuous usage at normal service speeds, not at a ridiculous (2G) speed reduction after an equally ridiculous and somewhat arbitrary 2GB data cap. Come on, only 2GB data per month in today's media intensive world. If you want / need to stream a few news or youtube video clips, let alone a movie, you can hit that in a few days. When are these providers going to wake up and provide reasonable, and affordable, plans that fit today's needs. Sorry op but this gets a TD from me even tho I do have a FP 3G device (on the $3.99 plan) that I mainly keep and use occasionally as a backup... works great for that.

I sent a PM a week ago regarding a hotspot problem I'm having. Netgear hotspot used to work fine at 4G speeds in my area. Now it will only do 3G (which means no service on free plan), yet my freedompop phones do 4G. Please advise.

You will need to upgrade to a paid plan to obtain 3G for your Netgear hotspot.

What network does FreedomPop use for 4g LTE data? Is a different network for 3g fall back? I need a back up but it must be on a different network than my current carrier (fiber lines keep getting cut dropping internet, phones AND cell network!)

Good question. Too confusing I agreed.

This is the Sprint CDMA network LTE service this Netgear fuse runs on. Same as the BYOD devices will run on. Good ping/good speed. Sprint coverage whatever it is worth to your location.

The 4G LTE SIM kit runs on AT&T LTE network local (not roaming). Great ping/great speed.

The Global SIM kit is a UK SIM that roams on T-Mobile HSPA+/3G network in US. High latency. Poor speed.
