FYI: the higher ticket items are also available even lower on amazon international websites.

Looks like a good set. Buy a few Torx screwdrivers and you should be all set for most electronics

The joker and 1/4 sets are actually cheaper in the US since there's about $25 in shipping charges on top, but the 3/8" 43 piece ratchet set is $225 on sale, but ~181 EUR from Germany (191 USD via XE or 199 via Amazon automatic conversion rip off so you're better of using you fx-free card).

I also seen a top up 100E get 5E free banner pop up, similar to the gift card offers from Amazon US to further save a couple bucks.

And of course Amazon.de seems to carry more stock of Wera, Wiha, Hazet and other premium tool brands.

The only use I get from my slotted micro drives is if I need small pry bar... get philips and torx.

Thanks very much for this - I had ordered the 3/8" this morning and was able to cancel in time. Ordered from the .de site and saved almost $40.

Wera tools are made in the Czech Republic.

I didnt say "German made". Guess I should have said "German branded".

Order a couple tools from several brands and compare. Thats how I decided. Ended up finding that for my tastes/needs Snap-On offered nothing I deemed worth paying more for.

The only reason to go with snap-on is having the truck come by to do a warranty replacement on the spot.

Which is great when you spin wrenches at an established garage but once you go independent and work out of your private shop...you're kinda screwed.

I've taken to keeping the tools I need swapped out in my car and when I see a Snapper-Head truck, I'll stop and ask if they have what I need. If they do, I'll tell them great, I need one swapped out. Telling the driver you need something swapped out right off the bat is the quickest way for them to say the don't have what you need.

Also, Wera and Wiha tools are top notch, nice to see this posted here.

No its German engineered. Just like it says on the box when you get your screwdrives. I'm just messing with you. I work in a shop where we love our tool porn. I have a hate for Wera because I can't afford them hahaha.
