M3 makes it borderline worthless.

Compared to the U series I5 the m3 isn't far behind. I have this and it is a great web browser / movie player / travel laptop.

I got this a few weeks ago, same deal. It has been this price for a good while. So far it has been a great experience, has handled everything we need with ease. We definitely enjoy how light it is (which you wouldn't get with an i5) and using it in tablet mode at times. No complaints at all really. Comes bloatware free, and with a sleeve for travel. Should handle 90% of people's laptop needs. If you're editing video or playing PC games, you aren't even looking at this laptop anyway.

I don't trust cpuboss , but I do think it actually is an OK light use laptop now. 500 seems a bit much though. Also w201, as in 190s? I love those.

This laptop has been this price for the past ~2 months (see multiple FP posts). I ordered it a few weeks ago for my parents. They like it a lot. Most people probably won't use the 2-in-1 feature, but it is still a good deal for an ultraportable IPS touchscreen laptop. It's light (3 lbs), thin/sleek (dimensions are slightly smaller than a macbook air 13"), nice aesthetics, has good battery life, has a nice 1080p IPS multi-touch screen, minimal bloatware, good hardware/specs, decent connectivity, etc. For the price, it's pretty hard to beat.

Don't let the m3 discourage you, as with ordinary use (startup, browsing, word processing, youtube, etc), you won't notice any difference in speed between this and an i series CPU.

I've chimed in on a number of threads about this laptop (as mentioned it's been this price for about 2 months here.) No complaints personally. Quick use boots fast. Doesn't feel slow at all and no fan is a plus. Only downside is the keyboard area has a decent amount of flex but that's never been a deal breaker for me especially at just $499

got it for this price at christmas. love it. got it for school, browsing, videos, office. you cant be a processor snob in this bracket because its about portability and battery life not raw power. also 15w vs 5w to decrease battery life on the i5

I recently got this off the President's Day 'Sale' on Microsoft.com. I've had the laptop for about a weeks now and its been solid overall.

Pros: Price, one full day of use on one charge,Light and compact, touch screen, no power supply block to deal with, comes with a carrying sleeve, ssd, fanless, usb-c, not preloaded with bloatware.

Cons: My screen has pretty bad light bleed in the corners(but you only notice on boot-up), the hinges aren't the strongest and the screen is heavier then the base so the screen can move out of position if you are moving around with your laptop, screen not the brightest and there is lots of reflection on the screen, finger print prone, no backlit keyboard.,this laptop can get bogged down when there are tons of tabs open and/or streaming videos.

Overall: I would give this laptop a solid 4/5 based on price and features.

Right? By i am curious . just bc of price. Seems like if I keep an eye out, there have been several i5 deals from 400-500.l?? Smaller screens and rarely 2-1 but they're there none the less. The surface pro 3 or 4 at Bestbuy Or the surface book< 600 seems a fair deal? This one is too slow for photoshop I imagine?

For those who own one of these, is it super weird to use the fliparound mode (like a tablet) and have a keyboard on the back of it? I think having a full power 13" tablet would be great but not if it has a keyboard glued to the back and its weird to hold. Do they make sleeves or snap on cases that let you cover the keyboard nicely?
