Directions for updating the firmware on your television: (Got these from Hisense.. The HDR upgrade firmware number is G1220)

1. Go to: http://drive.hisense.us/owncloud/...s0KJbDbl3g
2. Download the update to your computer
3. Copy the designated software "Â upgrade_loader.pkg" into the root of a blank USB thumb drive.
4. (Please do not change the file name)
5. Plug the USB into TV with TV off (as shown in attached instructions.)
6. Turn TV on with remote. (Hisense left out a key step here.. You don't simply turn it on you must HOLD power)
7. Follow instructions prompted by TV
8. Once TV is and you can unplug the USB and enjoy your TV.
9. The software update process will continue without additional user interaction.

Edit Post: Hisense left out a key step.. You don't simply "Turn TV on with remote" you have to press and HOLD the power button on the remote to turn it on.. Holding it is key! If you hold it, it will say "Software updating"

Agreed, I bought it in Jan at 650. I just re-ordered it at the lower price so I can return the other one that still within the 90 day return window. Pissed my wife off but I'm glad I kept the box around so that I could return the other one I purchased in January. Also, use the Discover card or other credit card with a 5% cashback Sams Club category.

Ok, this is the H7 series which means no HDR. If it was $528 I would get this.

Reading through the questions, it says that the HDR update is available for this tv. So with the update, this would have HDR?

Look at the q&a. Says there is a firmware update for HDR.

Should be able to click the edit button.

much easier if on a computer than a mobile device.

I see this being a FP deal super quickly, unless they run out of stock.... lol

I just saw that on the Sams Club website good find. I hope that update works. I had the 50H7C and they said the HDR would work on that one too but it didn't. It only worked on the 43" model and I find that odd.

Bought this from black Friday.. Great TV for the price, and they have pushed out several firmware updates. Whether that is for better or for worse, at least lets you know they are paying attention to it.

I think this is the H6, not H7 (I could be wrong). https://www.hisense-usa.com/sites...20v1.0.pdf
