each card is going to be different. generally the expiration is a year on average from the Sims I bought in the past. T-Mobile store tried to charge me 25 bucks for a sim.

If this SIM is not the 3 in 1 starter kit, it likely can't be activated in a T-Mobile store. I tried activating a free Nano SIM I got from Apple Store, and the T-Mobile Store couldn't activate it.

Anyone know if these from Fry's are pre-activated SIM cards or unactivated?

You won't have any luck in a T-Mobile store. You could try over the phone with Activations.

Good thing I bought 2 from best buy last time, expires on 2019.

Anyway, I called TMO this morning to add a free line and they won't let me use it but rep waived the fee with account credit.

You can also try going into an Apple store and ask for T-Mobile SIM cards, they are free there.

But as someone mentioned, not sure what they're good for if most store reps will tell you that you can't use them just to make the commission off of the $25 SIM kit sale. I have seen a post in another thread that stated they were able to use the SIM cards from Apple at the T-Mobile store to activate new lines, YMMV I guess.
