can this simply be hooked up in place of a 6V to get the big speed/power boost that comes with a 12V?

i put an old 12V motorcycle battery in.. that thing went twice as fast!

MC batteries are around 20 bux on ebay btw

Even an old battery that was too weak to run my motorcycle, was enough juice VRoom!
