Regular price $69.99 on sale for $49.99 minus $24.99 back in points ends up as $25 + tax + free shipping.

I also had a $5 off $50 as well as some surprise points to bring my personal total down to around $18 after tax. YMMV on this part.

Pretty good deal but you really can't subtract points off the price. Look at the other sears posts for reference.

If it's anything like the 4 drawer I got on the last deal this should be a nice tool chest.

are you sure you used a 5 off coupon Because Off coupons don't work on hotbuys. Or was the item not a hotbuy when you bought it?

be aware any surprise points you use affects the points back you get. I have $12 in sp but using them takes my points back from $25 to $18.

still solid deal if you have the surprise points. the coupons won't work as this is considered a sale or hot buy.

not sure when the points back expire

Strange.... once I get into checkout my $29 points back totally disappear due to $12 in surprise points. I even added over $100 in stuff that is not on sale, but that did not help.

Thanks for pointing this out. I added $5 in surprise points which deducted $2.58 from the $24.99 offered originally. I also added a couple of $5 off coupons from the coupon center (one was supposedly for tools and the other "store-wide"). Neither coupon applied to my order and by adding them, my $5 surprise points were disqualified. I removed the coupons altogether and the $5 surprise points returned... Surprise!

Such a wonky, inconsistent, & confusing system. Still a decent deal on the toolbox though.

I've learned my lesson from the sears (shop your way points) deals. Unless there is something that I would use the points for in the near to immediate future, I don't consider the points as a deduction in the price of the current purchase. I don't shop at sears (need things from sears) that often unfortunately...

It was showing $27 back in points for me. I added a .98 cent chuck holder as a filler and then used a coupon for $10 back in points on $50. Came out to $50.98 + tax with $37.04 back in points. Wow.

Have you already bought stuff at sears the past week or so? I think the 50% back in points sale has a cap per account
