I got this from Amazon a few months back and I love it. One thing I don't see talked about is the USB switching feature, which I like a lot. I have my mouse and keyboard plugged into the monitor. I then have a (high-speed?) usb and hdmi cable going from the monitor into my work laptop and a (high-speed?) usb and display port cable going into my personal desktop. You can then manually change video input on the bezel to switch between hdmi and display port and your mouse/keyboard will switch from controlling my laptop to my desktop. I've also created a batch file on each system to switch inputs when clicked on (the bezel menu switching is a bit of pain):

<< from an Amazon review
I have it setup as follows for to allow me to control both by desktop and laptop with one keyboard and one mouse:
1) My desktop graphics card is connected to the monitor's mDP port
2) My laptop's hdmi port is connected to the monitor's hdmi port
3) I have a usb mouse and usb keyboard going into the monitor with usb cables going from the monitor into one usb port on my desktop and one usb port on my laptop.
4) I've set the monitor options to "Others: DDC/CI: Enable" and "USB Selection: USB 1: mDP" and "USB Selection: USB 2:HDMI"
5) I've installed "Dell Display Manager 1.2.0.1450" on both my desktop and laptop (Note, newer versions out now, use those)
6) I created a windows bat file on my desktop called dt2lt.bat (note lower case hdmi): "c:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Dell Display Manager\ddm.exe" /1:SetActiveInput hdmi
7) I created a windows bat file on my desktop called dt2lt.bat: "c:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Dell Display Manager\ddm.exe" /1:SetActiveInput DP2

USB/Keyboard switching would be better if you could use PIP and it could detect when you move over the portion of your other system, but, hey, can't have everything, can we? So, for work/personal, I don't use PIP, I use input switching instead.

Since I don't game much, I got a Dell AMD FIREPRO W2100 used ($40+) from ebay and works great with this monitor and drives it at full resolution. Just make sure you connect to it with Display Port and not HDMI to take advantage of the of the best resolution.

Best price I can see currently. I am drooling a little.
Probably not for me because I do web surfing more than media, and no gaming. Still trying to justify it. Some rewards use would cut down on OOP...
Discounted GC's...

I expect I would need a better GPU, but maybe mine would support this at less res (AMD R7 200 Series).

Has height, swivel and tilt.

Dimensions (H x W x D)
16.09"-20.62" x 32.47" x 8.50" w/ stand

14.65" x 32.47" x 3.00" w/o stand
Weight
18.60 lbs. w/ stand

Fence rider. Thx for posting.

Good deal (not the best but still with rewards, CB and such this in itself is about $80 less than the 600) on a good monitor.
For lack of weekly thread, among other things, I am seeing advertised $5 rebate for single reams which means/hopes there will be a 2.78 coupon coming one of the days of this week either in the email or on the website.
Otherwise everything else is almost same as last week..red halves and MP fulls have coupon on website to make them $1 a ream AR AC.

What's the max number of gift cards you can use online? I have a ton of discover cash back sitting around. But you have to redeem in $25 increments.

I believe the max is 5 online (unless something has changed). You could try calling in to order. They may be able to apply more than that. Another option would be going into the store, place an order via the kiosk and then paying at the register. Limit in-store is at least 15.

It's tough - this is a great price - but there are a lot better monitors in this category. - don't get me wrong this monitor is supposed To be great - but when I'm spending this much on something I want to make sure that its top of the line or close to it.

I've been watching these 34" curved monitors daily in prices --- if the acer or samsung drop down to this I would totally jump on it

Another note is all these brands had new models at CES so these current ones should drop soon

Every review I read on ultrawides considers Dell and LG's ultrawides better than the Samsung S34E790C or Acer ultrawides. The S34E790C uses a VA panel which is generally considered inferior for most applications, and Acer as a brand is known for cheap product - cheap on quality.

The only real downside of this monitor is the backlight bleed, but that is fixed on the updated model if it is something that bothers you, although it also has a stronger curve.

You can. 600 is a bargain for this 34 inch curved display.
