Solid deal for the i5-7200u with code NB25BMSM for $817.49 or $824.99 for the Ash Dark ash silver

Couldn't get any more discount with my Perkspot HP EPP discount as the EPP discount is negated with the discount code above.

Not sure if $110 to upgrade to the i7 is worth it for minor performance bumps and possible throttling issues (on XPS 13 but maybe not on this laptop)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Off topic but since it was in OP, any links/info on the XPS 13 throttling? I'm deciding between the Spectre and XPS 13 9360.

I just saw a comment in one of the blogs (Windows Central) or Reddit that the there's no need to go with the i7 because the XPS had throttling issues. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the statement but just put that in the OP as caveat emptor when paying $110 (before discount) for the CPU upgrade.

Can't locate that comment or website so my apologies.

Great laptop. My only issue (which annoys me more than most probably) was the fan noise. I wound up returning it and getting an XPS 13 instead, which more or less runs silent. Either way you're getting a great laptop.

Since when does the Kaby Lake versions of this have an active stylus? From everything I have read it doesn't have the digitizer anymore. I'm hoping somehow everyone else in the past were wrong and it does have it.

According to their site, this newest revision the -ac07Xnr does support active stylus. The previous rev did not.

Yes it does. Code only applies to configurable models $999 and over.

DDR4 but possibly only one TP3 port or so I read.
