Whew, that Fakespot score is pretty rough.

I have been wanting some in this form factor though, and I lose headsets at a rate that I can not justify over $10 a pair so I'm holding my nose and going in.

Don't forget the no rush ship credit option.

I absolutely hate this form factor. I previously owned a pair of Jaybird X's and they were awful Too much weight pulling at the buds when in ear, Too unbalanced to rest around the neck. My daughter lost her stupid Iphone 7 3.5mm adapter and a replacement is about $6...figure these are a better alternative...for an 11 YO. If you want BT headphones my goto will forever be a pair of HBS's like these:

I think it's worth mentioning the fakespot scores...but truly, I think fakespot gives everything that's not name brand an F. It makes me think I can't buy anything from Amazon anymore because most of the items have reviews from probably who received the item for free Frown

FakeSpot shillls going strong man. Have never seen so much effective gorilla marketing from a 3rd party site that spams SD.

It's Amazon, pretty much risk free purchase. You'd almost think we'd be better off buying from some no-name vendor via eBay, or daily steals or gear best or some unreliable site with no customer service. I'd rather have sponsored reviews from people who receive items for free than no reviews at all from some no name site. Any info is better than no info.

Screw FakeSpot. ReviewMeta FTW if I'm gonna be picky about reviews for some cheap item on Amazon.

With the cord clips there really isn't any stress on the neck. You wear the Jaybirds over the ear with the cord clips. Should be fairly comfortable with no pulling.

And kind of odd you'd prefer the rigid horshoe sitting around your neck.

The "horseshoe" actually serves several purposes, since you seem interested. First, it is a great alternative alert system in a loud/outdoor place (although my watch now serves that purpose...when I started using the LG HBS there were no smartwatches). Second it grounds the controls in one very specific, immobile location (much easier to ff/rew etc when the buttons are always in the same spot (especially on a run/hike/ride). Finally, when I ride I prefer to have the ear to the traffic side open...can't do that with the Jaybirds (or anything without the "horseshoe". And, despite the cord and pulley system they engineer for wearing the buds, there is no easy way to have them out of your ears and around your neck...my preferred place to wear them when out and not in my ears. As they say...ass for every seat!

That's good to know. I always think they'd feel annoying. Even basic over the ear designs would be awkward with only one in unless you're just standing around in a conversation. Though I think there are tips that are less sealing than others. And some buds are designed to be worn in ear but let in outside noise to a degree.

And no knock on you as I'm sure people look at me funny wearing my Voyager Legend with the boom up on a normal basis when I'm not talking on the phone, but I always thought people looked dorky walking around with their headphones around their neck like they're jewelry...haha. But as I said, I can't talk as I wear my Legend quite a bit. I also like background so I'm often listening to sports talk on it while I'm doing things and not interacting with people. Kept thinking about picking up one of those small mono buds strictly for that purpose. Some of them are pretty good.
