Desktop memory from GeiL on sale at newegg

Better timing and CAS latency than the OOS deal from amazon yesterday, but a little more expensive.

For people who are charged tax at amazon but not newegg, this is a better deal.

Should I pay $20 ~ more for a 3200 speed or is it not worth it?

If you do ram intensive tasks such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw/PhotoPaint, and Adobe After Effects and Premiere it will be worth it, but getting more ram is the best option.

Any video/audio/photo editing will really tax your memory speed.

Yep, with RAM prices what they are these days, that's not bad at all.

How is this with a Ryzen 1600 build and will it have any fit issues with the default cooler?

So, I just bought 8GB of the GeIL Super Luce (2400), was planning on expanding to 16GB soon. Should I return it and buy this, or just go ahead and buy an additional 8GB of the same?

I could deal with the look of the heatsinks, but not the height unfortunately. The wait for cheaper 16gb ddr4 continues..

Wow Giel is still alive!? They were the hot setup back in the early 2000s.
