Just an FYI. The 200GB data expire after 2 years, read-only after that.

Registered three different drives in three different browsers. The square banner in the top-right only has a promo code for seagate.com, a trial of their recovery software, and another slide of the trial of their recovery software.

Didn't see any banner on the top of the page. Adblock is off.

What was the link in that banner? Were there any other steps you had to take - were you logged in to Seagate.com? Did you put in a Microsoft email address?

[edit]
After some Googling, looks like it has to be a Seagate Backup Plus drive, not just any old drive:

So if I have five seagate drives I could have 5 x 200GB = 1TB of modifiable storage for two years and 1TB permanent storage for life? That would be good for backing up media files and having a permanent archive in the cloud.

I might have bought one of these codes "somewhere," and they said there was a limit of one promo per account.

Thanks OP. Just got it for my 5TB Backup Plus. Too bad I had to delete a lot of stuff a month ago when the previous 100GB bonus expired.

I've bought and redeemed this offer from ebay [ebay.com], works like a charm! Just for $8 I'll have 200 GB for two years, it's more than enough for my pictures and videos.

That explains a few things. Although when I do try to register my Backup Plus, the site keeps having problems. Oh well.

Is the driver a Backup Plus? Apparently that is the only one this deal will pop up for.
