The FoodSaver Quick Marinator is a 2.25 quart canister that vacuum marinates meat, fish, vegetables and more in minutes and its vacuum-sealing lid works with any FoodSaver vacuum sealing system to remove all the air inside the canister to keep food staying fresh. Made from BPA-Free material & dishwasher safe. - Randy71

I noticed today that the FoodSaver Quick Marinator is on sale on FoodSaver's site for 11.99 (plus tax in NC at least) with free shipping:

http://www.foodsaver.com/food-sto...6-DTC.html

For comparison this is 19.88 on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...PDKIKX0DER

The reviews on Amazon look good, except a couple of people who claimed that theirs exploded. I took those reviews with a grain of salt.

ALSO NOTE: I also noticed that the buy 1 get 1 on rolls promotion is still going on, but now with free shipping. I ended up buying some of those as well since the shipping was free.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Run ours through the dishwasher all the time.

The white knob has a captive ss ball bearing that acts as an airlock, unscrew the white knob and just below it is a small silicone O-ring (remove and hand wash, save). Toss the rest in the dishwasher. Truth be told, my wife has been tossing the lid assembled into the dishwasher all the time. No ill effects. I do clean it on my own- don't want to tell her so she will react like the posters above and not use it.
According to the manual, the lid is not dishwasher safe... or safe to be immersed in water. It says to wipe down with a damp cloth. Not sure how you can sanitarily clean all those raw meat juices...

Checked it again, wouldn't work when I was logged into my account. I think because I had a 10% first time use coupon I was trying to stack. Logged out and $11.99 price showed back up. Ordered without logging in.

Maybe Amazon will match the price, I submitted a request for it. but foodsaver.com has free shipping and no tax, plus 8% back if you make sure to Be Frugal.

hmmm guess I didn't see that, we just bought about 8 different foodsaver vacuum containers and first thing I did was throw them all in dishwasher. didn't notice anything wrong when they came out and 2 are currently in use of they vacuumed well. of course they are the "marinator" container nor do I know the difference. We got them all on our wedding registry and marinator was the only one we didn't get so I'll be buying this one hopefully
