Yeah right. Just google this model and this monitor is about 7 years old given the review was made in 2010.

Oh I am not denying that this isn't an old monitor. All I am saying is that they are all LCD monitors and some times description may just say LCD even if it has LED lighting as technically it is an LCD monitor. So just judging from it saying an LCD monitor that this is old could lead you to make the wrong conclusion.

pug_ster, I agree with you. It is an old LCD display (no LED backlight), and truthfully, IMO, I think it is a shit deal. Of course, this is SD and I figured I would post it because people like cheap things. It isn't 1080p/Full HD also and does not have HDMI out.

I posted a deal the other day for a Refurb. 25" HP 1080p IPS LED Monitor for $55 AR with HDMI output. I thought that was a fantastic deal, with the only con being no VESA support... and you know what? It didn't even get but 2 thumbs most of the day and it still sold out. To me, I think I would rather spend $20 to $30 more on a slightly larger display because it's something you look at a lot.

However, I had a friend who ordered some old POS Refurb. 19.5" Dell Monitor that was an exact copy of her old one for $50 the other day without consulting me. It was 1600x900 resolution, no HDMI, 90 day warranty and LCD also. When I asked why on earth she bought it instead of the HP I sent her or the other deals that were Full HD and had HDMI, IPS/VA Panels, etc. - her response was, "Because it's what I'm used to and I have it under a desk with cabinets and I don't want a big one that won't fit." It was clearly more important to match her existing desk and buy junk than have a good set-up.

Also, I have to say I laugh everytime I see your username pug_ster around. My friend has this cute pug and that's one of the nicknames she has for it. I always think it's her dog coming to make a post... but I digress... I know/hope you're human. Cheers

shwet7uc, I appreciate you defending my deal and mentioning that product descriptions don't always say LED backlit when they are. That is true, but unfortunately this is not the case here.

I know this is an old monitor even without googling because it is 22" and have usb ports. I have a few of these dell monitors in my office and they are about 10 years old. Oh, and thanks for liking my nickname... I think.

Most monitors and TV's really do differentiates themselves between LCD and LED by the type of lighting. LED monitors didn't start proliferate until 5 years ago.
