Thanks! That seems like a huge difference. I have the swift 3 with i5 and was wondering if zenbook with touchscreen will be better for routine Internet, Skype and YouTube.

Garbage processor for the price. No deal here. Get a swift 3 from Costco, if it's still on sale.

I just bought the Costco deal. I was considering this but in your opinion the Costco deal is better? if you don't mind can you explain a little more?

Ditto for me. Typing this on the Swift 3 that I got 2 days ago. Love the laptop and the only thing I would wish for is the touchscreen. Going with this would mean a lower processor, but touchscreen. Still sitting on the fence.

Agreed. Reported this as a repost, but the mods said the previous thread from two weeks ago was too old to merge with.

Been checking out userbenchmark.com, not sure how accurate it is. Seems like it uses actual user benchmarks?
Anyways, here is M3-6y30 vs i7-6500u: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Comp...71vsm36930

The i7 ranks 249 of 951, the m3 ranks 491 of 951.

You crack me up! What exactly were you doing that throttles the CPU??

It's a thin laptop with an amazing form factor - suited very well for 2 in 1. Have you ever tried this in person?

This is NOT a gaming laptop... It is well built (aluminum) for everyday use - will handle just about everything other than some hardcore games.

I loaded Win 10 PRO on it and have installed VS 2015, SQL Server 2014, Office 2016, and Chrome/Chrome Canary/Opera Developer/Opera/FireFox/FireFox Developer browsers (yes, 6 browsers other than Edge/IE) and they all work without any hiccups.

The Intel Core m3-6Y30 is a lower-mid-range processor for thin-and-light laptops and 2-in-1 PCs. This CPU model is important since it is used as the entry-level option in Microsoft's latest Surface Pro 4 series. The main selling point of the m3-6Y30 is its very low power consumption of just 4.5 Watts, while still enabling smooth work in common programs like web browsers, Office apps, e-mail clients, and other non-demanding software. Another advantage thanks to great thermal characteristics is the chip's ability to be used without cooling fans, thus providing completely silent operation. - See more at: http://laptoping.com/cpus/product...mHW00.dpuf
