"Mostly" is not really accurate. It depends where you drive. If it's "mostly" freeways, then you will see more laser than on rural/mountain roads where there's not as much traffic. In general, cops need to use laser when they can't figure out which car is speeding, laser tells them that as it's highly directional. When you're the only car on the road, radar is much easier to use than laser and can be used from a moving car. Radar is also used on freeways, since laser can't be used from a moving car.

Personally, I get hit by radar much more often than with laser, as I don't do most of my driving on freeways. Even on freeways, I get a lot of Ka band action (WA state).

In general, for speed enforcement avoidance, you should use at minimum Waze, then add a radar detector, and, if you can afford it, finally add laser jammers (if legal in your state). Also, your eyes, as you can get a ticket just from being paced by a cop. This is especially dangerous with unmarked police cars, so look for common brands used by the police driving behind you, such as Ford Explorer, Dodge Charger etc. especially if windshield is tinted.

This radar has the longest range in the market and will give you the earliest detection possible. It does not have all those extra bells and whistles like GPS or direction of signal, it just gives the best chance of getting you speed in check.

Also, I believe it is the only radar detector that is completely invisible to radar detector detectors.

I run it in my car and on my motorcycle.

It is great if you spend a lot of time on open highways with no sources for false alerts. Not so great if you want it for mostly city driving or suburban/urban highways.

A V1 with either YaV1 (android) or V1Driver (iOS) will offer the cheapest and most powerful combination for city and highway combined.

A max360 will offer the more expensive but more user friendly/plug and play (slightly less customizable) option.

Redline is great in states without K band threats, like California. Just turn off K band and enjoy the best Ka band range

If it can't filter BSM it's useless now

I have never had a false alarm from a BSM with my Redline. I can see the light on their mirror go on, but it does nothing to the detector.

Buyer Beware: I have had two of these and they both get out of calibration quickly. You need to ship it in to be re-done and I got it back in a month-ish. Additionally, these over heat. Quickly.

Bad design with no heats vents being black. It has good range but it will alert a lot.

Buyer beware. Overheats/Needs Constant re-calibrations

Good range but poor design for western populations.

do know that most metro area PDs use mostly laser not radar, and since you're already caught when the built in laser detector goes off, your expensive radar+laser detector is basically useless...
The guy in front of me gets the laser hit and I slow down.
