I purchased this device about 3 weeks ago and will give a quick review of what I've noticed so far.

I'm a male with light skin and brown to dark hair. I bought this mainly to remove chest hair as it's just been something I haven't wanted. Charge the device immediately upon receiving it. For me, charging the device after the battery has been depleted, takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to charge fully. The fan comes on periodically while charging but can be turned off if desired (increases charge time). To unlock the device, it has a sensor at the bottom that you must hold up to your skin prior to use. As you guys probably know, there are 5 settings that determine how powerful the lazer is. I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that 5 is the strongest and have only used that setting. I consider myself to have a high pain threshold, but I will admit, it's painful on the chest. It recommends you shave everything down with a razor prior to use. I instead trimmed the area down pretty short. This may lead to more ineffective results, but on a large area like the chest, I thought it would help me determine where I was. I made a grid on my chest so I could do a section at a time. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty painful at 5. I did my entire chest the same day having to recharge the battery one time to be able to finish. The chest is just a sensitive area. You want to overlap a good bit to make sure you get full coverage and like I said, it was tough. I played music, drank, and did a few other things to keep myself distracted. This is supposedly, a permanent hair removal process so I'm praying that's the result I get. Anyways, after doing the stomach, and mid chest, I thought maybe leaving some of the short hair there was causing it to be more painful so I shaved that down all the way. It did NOT make any difference in terms of pain level. Over the weeks, it's been interesting. Some hairs will basically fall right out. You can literally just kind of brush them off while others seem to be unchanged. After the first major treatment, I spot treated the chest every 2-3 days just hitting random areas and patches. In terms of pain, this helped tremendously as it's not all concentrated in one area. Even after 3 weeks, I will say the hair seems to be less and some of the hair that has come back, is thinner. Some hair seems to remain unchanged and I'm sure will take multiple treatments.

My wife has also used this 3 times on her armpits. I have done the treatments for her (easier to see) and we have always used setting 5 on shaved armpits. It was pretty painful for her. The last time, she was on the verge of tears from the pain. I obviously wanted to stop, but she persisted and we have finished. She has had similar results. It's coming back slower, thinner, and a few hairs no longer seem to be there. Whether or not that means they will never come back is a good question. Only time will tell there but hopefully it really is permanent.

I will answer any questions if some of you need additional info. Sorry for the length.

Great deal! I've had mine for 3 yrs, have 1/8 of one leg done! Why?... it hurts! It's permanent hair removal so that's the trade off - pain for convenience ! And you can do privately! I have no tolerance for pain, so this is my own pace, yours is different. I use level 3 and Feels like snapping a rubber band on your skin.

no it can not work on ears.
the manufacturer does not advertise it on Amazon or anywhere else I looked, but the manual supplied with the item clearly reads that the laser should not be used on ears (as well as man's face)..
I did, however, purchase it, and tried on my ears and so far I do not see it really worked. But I got my ears burned though. Nothing major, but probably not FDA approved Smilie
The way this laser is designed, you won't be able to apply it over the ear, because the laser lense is larger than the flat part of the ear and it won't be working. Besides, the procedure is really painfull.
