LG includes Cleveland Plasma on their list of "unauthorized" sellers, which is shocking. Cleveland Plasma has been one of the most reputable TV retailers online over the past 10 years. I wouldn't worry too much about LG's unauthorized list

Purchased with my CITI Visa I got through Costco, it offers a 2 year warranty extension free. So total 3 year warranty absolutely free.

This is the deal I was waiting for, thanks OP. Unfortunately post will probably get removed because of eBay guidelines (seller doesn't have 10k feedback yet) but as a lot of other SD'ers were saying ielectrica is legit.

This is also the deal I've been waiting for. However LG just explicitly added Ielectrica to their list of "unauthorized dealers". What does this mean for potential buyers? Do I need an external warranty in that case?

Oh wow, they just added a bunch of reputable sellers to their unauthorized dealers list. I would also like to know what this means if someone buys from one of them.

I also want to pull the trigger on this offer. The unauthorized seller deal gives me pause though, although they have a 100% seller rating. The seller offers a 5 year warranty through Consumer Priority Service for a "discounted" $299. Thoughts slickdealers? I need your slick advice!

If it breaks and you have a dated receipt to show it's within the warranty period LG will fix it whether it's from an authorized reseller or not.
I'd guess they publish the "unauthorized" list to make Best Buy and other high markup resellers happy.

As far as Ielectra, I purchased an OLED65B6 for $2349 from them 2/15/17, it was delivered to me in Texas within 7 calendar days, it had a manufacturing date of January 2017, it looks great and I have had absolutely no problems at all. If I needed another I would not hesitate to buy from them again(especially with ebay's guarantee behind it).

no ebay 8-10% bucks deal, or $100 off coupon, no sale. this is not a lower price than last month.
