The fact that LG specifically listed these companies as unauthorized resellers gives me the willies. I don't want to run into a problem and not have some sort of warranty coverage. That would be a bad deal.

And yet my 65E6P purchased from iElectrica about a month ago was accepted for factory warranty by LG when I registered it recently. The company has told buyers in the past that it doesn't matter who you buy it from, as long as you buy it new, have the receipt, and the serial is verified in their system during registration they will honor the warranty.

I really believe they only have this "not authorized" list to appease the "authorized" dealers on the same page. I've heard that LG basically uses the authorized list to refer buyers who contact them directly and ask where to purchase their TVs; then LG can confirm they are referring that buyer to a dealer who has the product in stock.

To each his own but there are several good reputable dealers on that list that I would have no problem buying from, and in fact I did when buying via iElectrica via eBay.

I've been waiting for another deal on this model for awhile. So is it safe to assume that no warranty will be offered with this as it's not on the approved list?

Anyone know how they ship? Do they happen to use FedEx?

EDIT: Found the shipping info: https://www.ielectrica.com/articles.asp?ID=57

Though I wonder if shipping insurance is applied/charged to this product. Wouldn't that negate the free shipping?

They ship via AM Trucking and mine was delivered a day early and box was in perfect shape. They bring it in and power it up to verify it's okay.

You can probably just go down that list and one of those scam sites will have a lower price to PP against.
