A very good speaker at a great price. One of the best I have found under $50.
Has really good build quality.
A good budget alternative to speakers like JBL Flip3 and Sony SRS-XB2.

Has a fairly loud max volume, and really good bass response to well below 70hz.

Only flaws I have found are a fairly high self discharge, another words if you let it sit several weeks the battery will probably be low. 2nd At higher volumes, the speaker may dance around a little.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This speaker is a pile. I ordered two of them. One of them discharges as though it is on all the time, even when turned off. This speaker also suffers from the fact that it charges @ 5V 1.5A, so at any more than half volume, you will run the speaker down, even while plugged into the charger. I wasn't impressed at all. it's also kinda easy to tip over, due to the shape and how the weight is positioned (a little high) in the speaker.

The treble is not overly bright, but not as muffled sounding as say the JBL Charge 3.

Thanks. Considering this speaker.

Have the Xiaomi Mi, JBL Charge 2 and TDK A33 white. Like them and use all of them, but always get the hankering for a new BT speaker. Big Grin

Xiaomi Mi is one of the best speakers in that size for under $20 bucks. Was also interested in testing this one out! Thanks OP.

Agreed about the Xiaomi Mi, though no where I can find it for $20. I got mine for $35 and it's worth every penny.

Great little speaker. Balanced and it doesn't reduce it's full sound at lower levels.

Had this speaker previously and returned it. Playing the speaker at loud volumes would cause it to physically jump around and move... a lot. Also didn't care for the mids and highs on this speaker.

I tried this, JBL Flip 3, JBL Pulse, and JBL Charge 3. I ended up keeping the Charge 3. I know you can't really compare the Charge 3 directly to this $16 speaker, but I wouldn't buy the Pulse X again at this price. Maybe for $5-$10.

I'm torn between this and the TaoTronics 20watt JBL Charge style speaker for $20:

No reviews but look at that batter size and power rating. Just added to Amazon.

Which one, the mini? I don't remember the other models being under $20 in recent memory.

I know this speaker is not everyones cup of tea but at this price, if you get a good unit its a steal. I will post a quick comparison video shortly of this speaker (Pulse X) vs JBL Flip 3 vs Sony SRS XB2.

Seems quality control of these units are its Achilles heal. Looking forward to your video.

I was pleased with the fit and finish on mine, I cant speak to the internals quality, other than sound.
