I am looking at hi12 on urlhasbeenblocked for $239 - $7. This is a bit more, and only advantage I see is android 6 as oppose to 5.

Seems like a similar config to this, but with a 10 in screen, is only about $179 on Tom Top.

I guess it's worth it for latest android and 8750; slightly higher spec than the cherry trails on Tom top? Yes 8750 creams the 8300, almost twice as fast.

Yeah it really depends. If you just need a machine to do extremely simple tasks, your link seems to come with a kb as well and is a hundred bucks cheaper... really good deal.

I'd only get this one over that if I had to do homework/office work. For email/basic browsing/ssh/Remote Desktop, I think your link is fine.

Edit: looks like the urlhasbeenblocked kb is $40 more. Still not a bad deal. I'd say get this one if whatever your doing could be described as anything more than "basic", 8gb is frankly impressive.

avoid teclast POS chinese tablet with zero support, zero return policies, zero purchase protection

be ready for overheating, digitizer failures, ghosting, stagnant OS etc

you have been warned...yes i've had experience with this brand

this is not Xiaomi, possibly the only worthy chinese brand atm

Not TD because I have any experience with Teclast-- I don't. But saying xiaomi is the only trustworthy Chinese brand just implies some weird things about what you consider Chinese.

Clearly Lenovo is a trustworthy brand that makes fine laptops, but I would hazard to guess most people don't think of them as being a Chinese company because their an established brand. It's actually fairly subtle racism for people to only consider lesser-established brands as being Chinese imo

you gotta be joking, trolling or living under a rock.."Lenovo is trustworthy" has never been more inaccurate since they have been caught multiple times attaching spyware to the machines they sell, just google lenovo and spying...

and for the integrity of the machines themselves, all i can say is they didn't build the ecosystem, it was handed over to them by IBM, the grandaddy of reliability, hardly something you can compare to the other chinese builders

no racism, just logic and truth

I can't comment on the other stuff, but I can confirm that these Teclast tablets generate a lot of heat, mostly if you're playing games on them. I own 2, and although I think they're a great value, heat and wifi signal strength are issues to expect. When the heat goes up, thermal throttling activates to protect the tablet, decreasing performance until it cools down. If you're playing a game while the throttling is in effect, you can literally see the degradation in performance in the game's fps.

These overheat too easily and that affects performance. I don't like it.

Have a Teclast Power X80. 64gigs is not enough for a dual boot machine on the Windows side. Teclast's image takes up more than 23gigs and that is without updates. I paid $100 for my tablet I wouldn't think about buying another one let alone one for $200+. Stay away.

Not good for long periods of use. But this is definitely not a bad buy because of that.

I have a Teclast X80 as well. It's got 32gb and I frequently get storage warnings. However with 64gb I think it would be just fine.

agreed. but this is a dual boot machine which means it's partitioned half and half just like your X80.
