Chicago you get murdered by drug users/dealers. Philippines you get murdered if you are a drug user/seller. Big difference. lol.

During those months, expect lots of rain with the added heat as well as increased crazy traffic (even more than the usual).
If you leave the Manila area, the beach waves make it unsafe. Also typhoon season.

Manila is a good place to go to better places that are an hour or so away. Palawan and many other island areas that don't have cop killing bs going on. Unless you are into some shady shet, you will won't find much of what you see on tv in Manila.

Now terminal 1, that is more scary than Manila and Chicago combined.

You've been reading too much yahoo and cnn. Just dont go to the southern most island or else you are asking to get kidnapped and be featured on dateline. Most filipinos wont even dare go there and im surprised that these foreigners even go there.

Its like a travel agent telling you to visit Congo. Don't understand why these foreigners go to Mindanao and its like they are surprised that they got kidnapped.

You watch too much CNN, and other mainstream media. The only thing scary in Manila is traffic. Big Grin
