So, everyone uses different browsers, from IE to FireFox to Safari.

Sometimes people paste Coupons.com/Bricks links that they recieved in FireFox, which do not work in Internet Explorer or vice versa. You get the "Please wait..." or "Please Install The Coupon Printer" even if you already did.

This trick will allow you to simply change 2 characters in the URL to make a FireFox link work in Internet Explorer and vice versa

Here's how easy it is, the following is a FireFox link:
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wg&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

note the "wg" in the URL. This link gives the repeating Please Install The Coupon Printer in Internet Explorer.

To make that link an Internet Explorer link we simply change "wg" to "wi" OR "vi" (in this case, both variations work, other coupons it may be wi or vi, trial and error):
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=wi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY
or
hxxp://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=ri3peuo59687503&bt=vi&o=53740&ci=1&c=GM&p=TyQrvJAY

UPDATE: If you want to print Bricks coupons on a MAC with Safari, replace the "wg", "wi", or "vi" to "xs". You can also do the reverse, take a Safari link "xs" to IE "wi" or "vi" or to FireFox "wg".

You do the opposite if you want to print an Internet Explorer link in FireFox!

PS. I changed http to hxxp so you guys can see the full URL without the forum code making it a clickable link.

I was hoping a Mod/Admin could sticky this thread. It seems to have been very useful via all the Reps and PMs I've gotten about it.

Thanks.

Just saw a referral to this thread from another. Evidently the Mods didn't sticky it. In case anyone would like to sticky this, and doesn't know how, here you go - Go up to thread tools towards the upper right of the OP. Click on that, and a drop-down menu will appear. Click on stick the thread to the top. That's it. Next time you open the coupons thread, it will be shown there with the other stickys. HTH

I started having exactly this same problem in the last couple weeks in Firefox and Safari when I try to print bricks/coupons.com. When I try in IE, the browser crashes. I don't know what has changed. They were printing fine until recently.

Does anyone have a clue?
those of you having printing trouble here recently are you using Windows 7?

im starting to think that other programs that people install clash with the Q printer program.

just like with FF, 99% of the time when it crashes it is due to an add-on program.

I have Win XP. I haven't installed anything in a long while. Java is up to date. I can't figure out what has changed.

After being unable to print in IE, FF, or Safari, I installed Chrome and can print in that. However, I don't know the code for changing a FF or IE link to print in Chrome. Does anyone know what that would be?

I have the same problem: was printing coupons beautifully, then suddenly (a week ago) they just stopped working. Either it asks me to install coupon printer every time I try to print (though it's definitely enabled in my add-ons) or it just sits on the screen with the dots moving.
I wrote to coupons.com, and their answer was to either a) disable the anti-virus software, or b) be sure to use 32bit and not 64bit browsers. I tried everything, and still can't get coupons to print.
I'm on Windows7, using AVG anti-virus, and have the problem on IE and Firefox.

Next, I'll try tre-installing Firefox. If that doesn't work, I'll try Chrome. If that doesn't work...guess I'll just cry.Frown

I have the same exact problem. I have printed coupons with the coupon printer since August 2009 without any problems. A week ago, that turned into my coupon printing nightmare. I have tried every tip offered with no solution. I can no longer print, no matter what browser I use (IE, FF, Safari, Chrome) I have Windows XP. There were 2 things I considered: FF updated around the same time the problem occurred. And it is possible Windows also updated around that time.
I either get a message stating that my printer settings need attention, or it continually asks me to install the software.
Coupons.com got back to me and offered solutions, but none worked. I have 32 bit, my firewall was turned off, and AVG wasn't blocking it. The plug-ins are enabled. Pop ups enabled.
I've even done system restore to the time when it was working. And uninstalled and reinstalled a previous version of FF.

I am really sad (and frustrated) I can't print coupons that I use a lot. But not knowing how to fix this problem is worse.

As a last resort you might try wiping out your hard drive and starting over. Here are some instructions. http://www.ehow.com/how_5219002_w...-over.html. I had my SIL do mine as I am not real computer tech. Worked for me.

Ok so all of a sudden this morning printing coupons at both of these websites did not work. Every-time I goto either website it says I have to install the coupon printer. I have downloaded this before because I was able to print coupons before today. I tried using firefox, safari, and google chrome none of them worked. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the coupon printer and no luck. Anyone ever have this problem before when it all of a sudden stopped working? If so any help is much appreciated and Happy Holidays!!!

I can't really help much as I never could get the coupon printer installed on 2 out of 4 computers using Firefox. On 1 computer with WinXP it installed & worked just fine if I used IE 7 which I don't like & don't use. I just never could get it working with Firefox. Emails to coupons.com didn't help.

On the other computer with Win XP & Firefox I was able to get the printer installed but it messed up Google Maps so had to uninstall it.

My other computer, a laptop with WinXP, I never could get it to work with either Firefox or IE.

I then got a new computer with Windows 7 and using the same firewall & Firefox extensions it installed & works perfectly. Go figure.

Sorry I can't help much but I spent a lot of time Googling for an answer to install problems with no resolution. Finally gave up & just used IE for coupon printing until I got the new computer.

Guess I just wanted you to know you're not alone having these problems. Hopefully someone will come along that has some suggestions to help you get printing again.

Vista... There's your problem. laugh out loud

Really though.
If at work, they are blocking it.

If at home. A firewall may be blocking it. In the settings, specific websites can be blocked.
