Deal works here - its 1623.55 and a $50gift card. Why isn't this seeing more response? Seems better than the $1500 dell posted this week

That Dell was an XPS and a different category of Laptop. That is more of a productivity and Business Laptop with good amount of Graphics power for GPU intensive tasks and occasional gaming.
This one is a dedicated gaming Laptop and designed for highest performance on that category.

Another thing, this is one of the few laptops having DisplayPort 1.3 which is capable of running a 4K monitor @ 120Hz or two 4K monitors @ 60 fps and 4 1440P monitors @ 60 fps.

The pc has phenomenal specs. And the ram and storage is all upgradable, but you've got to unscrew like 15 screws on the bottom of the case. It's the Clevo chassis that Eluktronics, Prostar, and Sager notebook use on their 17" 1070 laptops.

That may be a bit time consuming but not hard to do. I am not sure why people are down voting it.

Me neither. No other laptop is around with that big of an NVMe SSD, g-sync display, GTX 1070 and the HK processor. Not for that price.

Hard to build a desktop with these specs at this price. Pretty slick for a laptop.

Actually you are correct. And don't forget GTX 1070 Laptop version is actually slightly more powerful than the Desktop GTX 1070.

fark . There goes my HP 15t with the 1050. granted, for only 557 bones. Is this deal slick enough with the 1070 and not the 1080?

No it does not support external graphics and really it does not need any. GTX 1070 at 1080P will fly for some years.

No point of what Desktop you can build at the price of a Laptop. Desktops with similar configuration will always be cheaper and yes, you can build a GTX 1080 Desktop at this price. In fact I have posted several Desktop deals here.
So first decide what you want, Desktop or Laptop! then proceed accordingly.
