$150 would be a great price for this chromebook - just got one myself from Acer Recertified for $175ish...

I've had mine for about a year and love it. It's big but fast (14200 octane) compared to most other chromebooks (usually around 8000 octane). If you can score this with the extended Costco warranty for $150 it's an absolute slick deal.

Not in the "stable" channel yet but it is coming soon... in the meantime you can manually activate this feature if you want...

I've had this laptop since February of 2016 and it is the best laptop I've owned. I bought it for $160 refurbished from Acer and brand new under $200 is an excellent deal. No lag when multitasking (I regularly have 10+ tabs open on split screen view including streaming quotes from my brokerage), the screen is good, and the speakers are surprisingly excellent. If you don't need a windows based computer (that is, if you do 95%+ of your work within web browsers), this is the one for you. Highly recommended, I've actually bought 2 others for family members.

Oh and for those wondering about battery life. When I first received mine (it had been manufactured only 2 months earlier and was basically a brand new unit), it regularly got 8 or so hours on a full charge with moderate use. It only gets about 3.5 hours now but that's very good considering my poor charging habits and frequent video/data streaming. It's slightly heavy at around 5 pounds, but not too cumbersome.

Have you tried running Android apps on non-touchscreen Chromebook? Wonder how well it would work...

specs say 3220mAh 48Whr and it's 4-cells. Most laptops are 3-cells or ultra cheap ones 2 or 1 cell batteries that won't hold charge as well.

Translation: phenomenal for the price of system

If you have the LCD at max and streaming multiple videos, obviously don't expect 9 hours...

Be disciplined and dissipate down to 10%, charge up to 95% or max about 5 times and you're good.

Whenever possible, use battery until below 10% again and charge up. Just form good habits.

I have two 2 year old Acer 720p units, still get 5-6 hours and excellent standby.

Can anyone else confirm whether or not there will be an additional $50 off?

Nobody knows for sure - info seems to suggest that current $50 is a manufacturer rebate and the next one will be a costco discount... i guess we will have to wait and see...
