As mentioned this is the cheapest RGB bulb that works with both Alexa and IFTTT (Google Home and Assistant can work through this) available on the market. The brightness is comparible to Philips Hue and these don't even require an additional hub (all for almost a third of the cost of Philips bulbs without the hub). This is an excellent flash sale deal!

It is confirmed to work with USA voltage after initial setup, but if you would like to be 100% without a single issue you can simply get a very low power inexpensive step-up transformer like this (https://www.amazon.com/Travel-Sma...006NRXXCG/) and then combine it with any old US to Type-C Europe plug adapter like this (https://www.amazon.com/3-Pack-Uni...01HVUHH7U/).

Here is a video of one of the folks getting it to work in the US - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibT-pSImYX0

There's no safety worries, the transformer is a very simple up-convertor that many devices use. As long as your lamp post can push 50w power through it (if you're using a standard A19 bulb almost all lamps can) you should be just fine. This is why I recommended the 50 watt model rather than the big bulky 100 watt model shown by the user in the video.

So you need to buy a transformer to make this work? Lame. Is there any way to do use the bulb without the transformer? For example, if you use a ceiling socket, you can't use the transformer. And do you have to go fetch the damn transformer every time you reset the bulb?

Some folks have claimed to get it working on 120v from the start but even if you get the transformer, mostly for such cases you just need it for initially setting them all up. Afterwords you should be able to plug it to the ceiling and get it working going forward. Unfortunately can't 100% confirm setting them up on ceilings from the start.
