Xbox Live 12 Month Subscription - 30,000/29,000 Microsoft Rewards Points

Posted 03-20-2017 by Spacegho5t at 06:30 PM
Hello,
I was looking at what I could redeem my Microsoft Rewards Points today when I discovered the offer of a 12 month subscription to Xbox Live Gold for 30,000/29,000 (depending on your rewards level):

https://account.microsoft.com/rew...0400000013

The current exchange rate of Microsoft Rewards points is approximately 1000 per dollar. (This is based on the price of the $5 Amazon gift card, the closest option to "cash")

Based on this exchange rate, it puts the "real world" price of this 12 month Xbox Live Gold subscription at approximately $30. Looks like a slickdeal to me!

Not to burst your bubble, but this offer has been available for 1 1/2 to 2 years now.

Well still a good deal for me I think.

I've got my live stacked until 12/2018 doing this. It's a great way to do it and I have no idea why more people won't take the 2 to 3 minutes a day to do it. I'm currently at around 20,000 points but think I might cash in for some free Resident Evil 😈

If only you could buy rewards points instead of having to use their gawd-awful search engine...

Can you explain how you're earning 30,000 points?

I'm curios as well. Maybe it's the Bing Search points, etc., that they offer daily. I think it's 500 points a day or something?

Kind of would defeat the purpose of earning rewards.

I earn Xbox live gold every month due to the program. I love it.

Question: Is the reward given in the form of a code or just added directly to the MS account in question? My account I use for PC stuff is different from the account I use for Xbox Live. At the time I started the Microsoft account to use for logins on Windows it completely slipped my mind that it should be the same as my existing Xbox account. I've never gotten around to figuring out if there is some way to merge them.

I got around 7,500 points for buying some Mass Effect DLC from the recent sale they had. So, technically, you could buy rewards points.

Done it for awhile. No ban. I had to verify my email once as they suspected suspicious activity. I verified and good to go. I don't use a bot and do search.

Code. You then enter the code, give it away, sale it, whatever you want.

Yes, use Bing search, make sure you're signed into your MS account. Do the daily searches and quizes. I'm over 20K in points. Have previously purchased Xbox/Windows store cards.

I think you meant Bing search, not browser. You can use any browser. I use Chrome browser and go to Bing.com and just make sure I'm signed into my MS account.

So using the Bing browser app on my phone should accumulate points, correct?
