Okay. I did this trade in today and here is what I learned/saw.

Tell them about their $100 trade in/recycle program for laptops. They will send you to the "Tech Guy".

The Tech Guy verifies that your computer has the following:
1. No Cracked/Broken Screen
2. Battery and Charger (Doesn't have to be original, the guy at my store didn't care. He also didn't care if the battery was dead/shot as long as it booted up with the power adapter)
3. Verifies Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10. (Vista and below will be rejected).
4. He turned the computer off and used a StormOS USB drive to pull computer information/process the trade in. Which means you have to have a functional USB port that can boot via USB.
5. The StormOS will tell you if you are eligible or not (most likely if you meet all the criteria above).
6. The StormOS will ask you for your info for the trade in.
7. The Tech Guy will print out a few forms for you to sign and print out the $100 trade in (NO LESS NO MORE).

The $100 Trade in is a coupon that works IN STORE ONLY (if you traded in your laptop In Store). The coupon DOES NOT have an expiration date. Feel free to save these if you want as they do NOT require a purchase during the trade in.

In regards to purchases, the laptop or desktop must be REGULARLY PRICED AT 399.99 OR HIGHER for the system to process the $100 trade in coupon. For example, this means if a laptop is ON SALE for $299.99 and it is REGULARLY priced at 399.99, the system will take the coupon and your total will be 199.99. Don't let them tell you otherwise. It's in the fine print of the coupon.

Hope this helps!

According to the rebate form, this offer expires 3/25.

Do we receive laptop trade in value in addition of $100? Or just $100 flat rate for any trade in laptops?

Bad assumption. If that matters to you, I would suggest trying to get a refund immediately.
