Issaquah Highlands Tech on Amazon.com (Third Party Seller) is selling a brand new JVC DLP Projector 3D Ready with 5000 Lumens (Model LX-WX50) for $479.99 - $20.00 price match (YMMV)

The site shows $479.99, but I called them at their public phone number posted on their account page (Source: https://www.amazon.com/sp?_encoding=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&orderID=&seller=A39QOQB63SPG0D&tab=&vasStoreID= [amazon.com] ) and asked if they can price match to this listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JVC-Profe...SwYXVYxyP6

They said they will price match it and provide the partial refund after the purchase which they did! (YMMV)

My research done on this projector: apparently the 3D function is 1080. Lamp Life is 2500 hours (decent since we are factoring the high Lumens)(Source: http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/specs.jsp?model_id=MDL102388&feature_id=03 [jvc.com] )

Screen Size (Diagonal): 60 to 240 inches
Projection Distance (varies from your zoom as well): 7 ft to 20 ft
Source(user manual): https://images-na.ssl-images-amaz...N9YGSS.pdf

But the very reason I wanted to make this purchase was for the high Lumens (5000) for a very well lit setting (this projector was the cheapest at such a high Lumen value); please be careful as that is a VERY BRIGHT projector, you will need to adjust the brightness if you plan to use it at night with the lights off. Other high Lumens I found were very expensive as I search through Slick deals. I hope this helps!

Here is a calculator for those that would like to see the Throw Range/Throw distance: http://www.projectorcentral.com/J...or-pro.htm

1280x800 is for classroom/presentations. That's not from me but from JVC.

It's also 450 at Groupon and they often offer substantial discounts.

If you want a PJ and this is what you got, get a 1070.

Unless you need a PJ for your PowerPoint presentations. In which case this one will do.

I agree with you that this Projector is meant specifically for people in a well lit environment.

It's the cheapest with extremely high Lumens available on the market.

I couldn't find anything with 5000 Lumens at this price point, but it sacrifices resolution.

the 1070 you mentioned is 2000 Lumens, so different category of projectors and usage as you did mention in your first statement.

Sorry haters. This is a great option for those of us looking for outdoor projection. Now I don't have to keep the kids (and neighbors!) up super late to wait for complete darkness.

The MicroCenter deal is in-store only and there is no MicroCenter in my state.
Cheapest price for my situation is currently $399 + free shipping on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/352033851016
