Extra $225 off/ New Line at T-Mobile when porting phone number from other carrier

Just got an email this morning about this offer. From now until 04/17, you get an extra $225 off for each new line of service activated with T-Mobile when you are porting your phone number over from another carrier. This offer seems to be only available when you call the phone number 844 786 2964 and mention the promo code STUDENT01. Says it can't be redeemed at the retail store or via the regular T-Mobile number.

This is where the savings come from:

Get a $200 T-Mobile Bill Credit for each mobile number you port and switch from the other guys to T-Mobile ONE or Simple Choice ** [t-mobile.com]

Save $25 per line:
Waived SIM activation fee

I also shared a screenshot of what I received via email.

For the $200 promo port In req, call the 844 # and have them issue you a new sim to existing account or start new account, since this is a 3rd party offer T-Mobile will direct you to the 844# if anything goes awry we are all out of luck. Codes are STUDENT 01 and EMPMALL01 either code should get you a free sim and $200 credit

For hookup 20% promo you need a code from a employee of T-Mobile some people have been sharing (not this thread though, so don't ask and don't share codes given to you by employees as these are theirs) you may also have good fortune at Reddit threads where employees do share, after you get the code you can either call T-Mobile direct or use your newfound login info and go to promotions.tmobile.com The hookup code can be entered once you have a temp number order does not matter but once you have it on your account it is merely a reservation for 14 days not actually applied to your account.

You should be able to stack both of the above with etf reimbursement from T-Mobile as it is a mutually exclusive offer from the other two abovefollow instructions at T-Mobile page.

So seems most are having to get this manually credited to the account.
Get on Twitter and send them the image of the flyer posted or image of what promotion code used, tell them to credit it manually if it does not appear by on your 4th bill, , do not let them brush you aside, if Tforce does not help contact executive office email....John.Legere@t-mobile.com

Several users have posted they were manually credited by Tforce for the proper amount.

its better than 150 credit and can we apply 20% code on top of this? I missed $150 credit last month so planning to switch 7 lines from ATT to Tmobile and waiting for great deal to popup, and I think this is good deal correct?

$200 credit each and 20% still works until end of month correct?

This seems like a good deal if you have numbers to port over. I'm assuming if you already had the 20% hook up promo on your account, you can still get in on this. I wonder what they consider "the other guys", just the rest of the big 4?

No mention of having to buy a phone from them or how long you need to keep your line open for that I can see.

That's almost 4 months of free service for a single line or 5 months of service for two lines if porting with a hookup code.

ETFs are 350. I've combined in the past multiple promos with the etf reimbursement

Do I need to buy a SIM before I do this - or will T-Mobile mail me one for free?
