PSA: T-Mobile changes Prepaid Plans on March 26 (all current plans end for new enrollment)

EDIT on 3/25: No more rumors! Called in and was told the portfolio of new plans, as following:
$45 Simply Prepaid with 4GB data at LTE speed
$55 Simply Prepaid with 6GB data at LTE speed
$75 T-Mobile One with unlimited LTE data, unlimted 3G tethering, 200MB roaming data.

If you like whatever plan that is currently available, grandfather it in today! That is, switch to whatever plan you fancy in your online account, and keep your account active (sufficient funds). If you like to keep the legacy $30 Walmart plan (100 min, 5GB LTE data), you need to call CSR (at 611) to switch manually.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today I called T-Mobile CSR and confirmed that new plans will kick in this Sunday, 03/26/2017.
T-mo CSR didn't want to "spoil alert" me with details about "new plans". But the long lasting popular $30 5GB Walmart plan is probably phased out according to rumors below
I don't really care about other T-mobile plans, so mainly a heads-up post for those on the $30 plan, and whoever been hesitating - grandfather it in before 3/26.
My best hope is that T-Mobile still keeps it alive, but after recent changes in their prepaid plans and their retail partnership with Walmart, I'd prepare for the worst.
Do you guys think it will have to remain active month to month in order to remain grandfathered (in other words, have idle months and still get grandfathered plan when you start the plan again?)
I would bet if you skip a month you will lose it.
I don't think Mint allows tethering - which I think the walmart plan did.
$30 plan is not available in your online account, but you can do it with 611 CSR. It's available now, just not really public.
I also think the $40 plan is good if you only use moderate data and calls like averagely 300 min per month. Just saves the worries.
I guess yes, because recently I let my $30 plan pending change to Pay As You Go when the balance dropped to $10 (no automatic or manual refill). I cannot use the number because the service is suspended. However, I was still on $30 plan for 15 days. Then I stupidly switched it to $3 Pay As You Go plan... Now I have to switch it back on 3/25 the latest.
The only reason I value this plan so much, 5GB with tethering, you can use several phones on the go.
You sure?? I was on this plan for 2 years .... Tethering never worked natively without paying for hotspot.
