Does anyway know which ones are better for gaming? Like positional audio wise.

I don't have the closed back 598 but I do have the open ones and the ATH m50. I think the sennheisers are a lot more comfortable (can listen for hours), lighter and seems more durable (my ATH m50s started to rip on the part of the headphones that go directly on top of your head). In terms of quality, I don't think you can go wrong with either but they are pretty different. ATH is better for bass but i personally think the 598 overall sound is crisper.

Does anyone have any experience with both the open back ones as well as these?

How do they compare in both comfort and sound?

Any input will help

Thanks in advance!

Comfort wise, I prefer the open back. The open back is lighter, and my ears don't get as warm when compared to the closed backs. Sound wise, I prefer the open back. The closed back sounds a bit muffled for me. I'm no audiophile, just a guy that likes the play video games with comfy headphones. Price wise though, I think it's a good buy if you don't want to wait for the open backs to go down in price again. Another thing I did like about the 598cs is that it comes with a cable that has a mic and volume control that my 598se didn't. I ended up returning the 598cs because overall, I'd rather have another pair of 598 open back.

if these were the open backs I would be all over it. For my needs I have no interest in closed back headphones. This does seem like a deal though.

Based on description, the 598 Cs are noise isolating. There are some Youtube reviews comparing M50x and 598 Cs. I already have the M50 (without detachable cable), thought of trying this out for music listening at my office. The M50 has a little bit tight grip around my ears, it is not that comfortable. Hoping the 598 Cs will be more comfortable.

If I didn't just buy the HD650, I would be all over these! Ripped!
