Verizon FIOS YMMV - Existing customer triple play 75/75, Select HD TV, Digital Voice - 62.73/mth or $72.73/mth with 2 year contract

I just called as my contract was expiring - was paying $90ish for triple play, the rep offered 62 for upping the internet from 50/50 to 75/75.

DC area, YMMV as always on these deals, but might be worth the call. It was more expensive to do only internet even at 50/50. I do have a connections discount from work, so that is where the 10 difference in title comes from. Took 5 minutes, no haggling.

I don't understand Verizon. I have 50/50 internet but it would cost me an additional $25/month to go down to 25/25 internet. Or an additional $15/month to go up to 75/75.

Also - I requested a return kit for the cable card which would bring the cost down another $4.99.

So wouldn't it be like ... $62.75 + charge to rent the cable box + charge to rent the modem.. plus various hidden charges and BS fees..
So now from $62.75 of what they may advertise it as.. the real cost is around $132 per month..

Yes?

Strongly agree. I'm currently in $69.99 triple play plan and actually pay $112 a month.

I don't believe so, I don't rent any of those things. I did use a cablecard (shown in the fees), but that is it. Fees also shown in the estimates above.

We currently have double play for 69.99 which goes up to 97++ due to those various rental and taxes and fees.

Glad somebody called us today for this offer and renewed 75/75 internet only with router for $66 all in

Isn't select HD very limited and the standard number of HD channels come with extreme HD?

Don't use their equipment and save on the router and box rentals

I have been month to month on a 50/50 triple for several months. I think I'm paying $150 and only equipment is a cable card. I'm not interested in another 2 year contract and have been considering going internet only with Vue, but am waiting to see what the YouTube and Hulu services look like. Still not a huge $$$ savings at the end of the day if I reupped my Verizon contact.

Mine bill comes out $111 without modem rental.
I am only renting 1 set up box which you need to have for tv.
If u only paying $60-$70 for triple play with everything, that is one CRAZY deal.

Attached PDF to OP. Please let me know what I am missing. The cable card is all that is needed for TV with network tuner.
