Not sure how great of a deal, but for 2k I'd expect much better than a gtx 1050 video card

The good deal is relative to the ultra portable segment and the high class of build quality. It would not be fair to put this against a budget plastic/flimsy low grade screen, and obnoxious bevels. Yes, for the same price I could get more from an Alienware, and even more from non Dellienware. BUT I'm in the market for sleek, portable, and quality. So thanks OP. I will consider this deal in conjunction with the 7 month, zero interest Costco Citi card promo. TU!

Just did a rough check on what I would get back from swapping out the RAM and SSD with 16GB and 500GB respectively. Seeing around $300, but what's the market like for 32 GB kits and 1tb PCIE SSD.

I just ordered this exact deal two days ago. It's worth noting that if you are a Costco executive member they double your warranty to two years. If you have the Costco credit card also you get four years of warranty. Additionally they offer a big discount for a square accidental warranty.

Just make sure to do lots of quality checks when you get this laptop as it has lots of driver issues out of the box and a high probability if hardware issues.

Before ordering it from Costco two days ago I had bought the laptop from Microcenter when they had it in sale (expired). I returned it to Microcenter cause it overheated during antivirus scans of all things lol. Am hoping the Costco one is better.

It never fails that someone complains about the graphics card being offered on a laptop. 🙄

They just made sure the laptop and charger was there. They quickly inspected it and that was it. No fee. Only 15 day return policy though.

I purchased and returned the XPS 13 from Costco THREE times because of hardware issues. They didn't bat an eye. They just check to make sure you brought everything back.

And if you buy using your Costco Visa you don't need another warranty, as Costco gives you two years and the Visa doubles it to 4.

Costco and other whole sale places are pretty great return wise. Never heard of someone being denied a return (unless you weren't returning everything or something).
