Keep in mind that you can currently (until April 5th) earn 35k SPG points with the SPG Amex Bonus Offer after $5k spent in 5 months: $3k in months 1-3 and $2k in months 4-5.

Annual fee on that card is $95, but is waved for first year

35,000 SPG POINTS = 105,000 MARRIOTT POINTS.

Of course, if you're willing to get both cards then this is a moot point.

The lowest redemption values are red at 7500points per night. You can click the boxes on the left to target only hotels in a certain category. Also be warned - the map is pretty accurate, but not 100% (sometime hotels change categories) but anything can be easily verified on marriott.com

Does this fall under the cards that Chase limits the churn rate for how often you can apply/cancel/repeat?

If you're chasing lifetime status on Marriott, you would need to choose the Chase offer, those points count whereas the converted SPG will not. Plus you get the 15 nights each year.

Do you get 15 elite nights with the SPG card?

you can't have been approved for more than 5 credit cards within a 24 month span. If you were, you'll be automatically denied from most any chase card product.

How many nights free is 35k SPG and 105,000 Marriott points in one of their more inexpensive offerings?

I just did a search for next January in Chicago (because I''ll be there then). I can stay Thursday - Sunday (3 nights) at a JW Marriott, Renaissance, or Autograph Collection for 120,000 points. These rooms are normally $220-280/night plus taxes and fees.

A Springhill Suites, Fairfield, or Residence Inn is 105,000 points. These rooms are normally about $105-115/night plus taxes and fees.

SDers, I need some advice.

I am at 4/24 (Slate, Sapphire, Reserve, Ink Preferred), all within the last year or so. I told myself I was done in case another great sign up bonus came along, but now I'm wondering if I should jump, and if so, if I should go for the Chase Marriott, Chase Marriott Business, AMEX SPG, or AMEX SPG Business? Or none of the above and wait for a potential joint Chase Marriott/SPG card. Ughhhh.

I travel for work, fly Alaska and stay at Marriotts, but the company I work for pays for the flights and the stays (not on my credit card).

My goal is to use any points for personal travel For my wife and I.

I also apologize in advance if this is not the proper venue for a self serving post like this.

Thank you for this map its awesome. Man so only about 3 nights free seems like in major markets. Seems like most hotels are 30,000+

100k points I would have thought would be much more substantial. Just got the Chase Saphire Reserve deal before the 100k deal expired and those points are basically 1,500+ in travel dollars when redeemed I was hoping this would compare in its own way to that.

Don't forget that regular spend on the SPG card is equal to 3 marriott points per dollar. The 5k spend will net you another 15k points.
