Yes, it walks you through EVERYTHING, if you want it to. It even walks you through each w2 or you can choose to input by yourself. Very easy, been using it for several years.

If you want to do state e-filing also, actually TaxACT 2012 Ultimate Bundle (included fed+state efile) $11.90 online version is cheaper then....

I've used TaxAct free for federal the last 3 years and state for free at the Illinois Dept. of Revenue website. TaxAct is very easy, you can choose step-by-step or fill the form(s) in line-by-line....
